Excerpt - I can see your nipples...8/4/2018 Cody forced a smile and refused to dwell on it. He wouldn’t let her mope either.
“I can see your nipples through your shirt.” The thin, sky blue fabric printed with pale yellow moons and stars probably should’ve been a pajama top, but after their clothes had been stolen right off their clothesline during a raid, Indie had been left with few options. She gasped and clasped her arms over her chest. “Are you serious?” “Am I ever?” The idea insulted him. “Jack noticed too.” In fact, he’d pointed out the dark peaks and that the sunny-side-up yellow shorts she wore were a bit too big, sliding down her hips and teasing them with flashes of flesh. “Why didn’t you say something?” A smile brightened her face, chasing away the false indignation she’d mustered. “Aw, hell no. We liked it.” He placed his hands over hers, attempting to pry her fingers from the soft mounds, but ended up fondling her fat nipples while she moaned and scooted closer to him. “And why are you covering up? We’ve all seen you naked.” The shallow river that ran along the southern fence barely came to their knees, making skinny-dipping a revealing experience. “At the same time.” She shrugged and pulled the useless shirt over her head. “Better?” “Fuck yes.” He lunged for her, wrapping his arms around her waist as they tumbled back on the blanket. “Mmm…” Cody planted swift kisses on her bare breasts while she giggled and squealed under him. “Oh God.” She sighed as his tongue swept her nipple. “Two weeks of self-quarantine might’ve been unnecessary.” Her hands drifted over him, plucking buttons open and tugging his zipper down. He stretched out on top of her, in no hurry to end their celibacy despite the urgent need that sprang from his jeans. “I could’ve told you that.” Cody mashed his prickly face into the soft curve of her neck and nibbled under her ear. “You did.” She giggled and peeled his shirt down his shoulders to hang at his elbows, raking her fingernails down his bared chest. “Stubborn Doc.” He slid back to grab her ankle and bend her leg, bringing her warm, brown thigh to his mouth. The loose shorts she’d scavenged gaped open, giving him a glimpse of his goal. Apparently, she hadn’t been able to find underwear. A wicked urge seized him, sending his fingers creeping up under the yellow fabric. “Ooo…” Her body turned liquid at his touch and her thighs splayed, but he wrapped one arm around her bent leg, pressing it against his ear while his fingers toyed with her flesh. “You’re a fucking tease.” Damn right. Without warning, he turned his head and seized her kneecap between his teeth, wiggling it with tiny bites. She curled under him, a surprised squeak escaping her as she slapped his shoulder. “What was that?” Wet, red teeth marks decorated her knee when he released her. “A love bite?” He frowned, not quite sure what had possessed him. “Did I hurt you?” “No, just shocked me.” She laughed and fell back onto the blanket. “Sorry. I shouldn’t be such a goof.” He’d wanted to make her laugh, but like always, he’d taken it too far. “I should grow up,” he sighed and plopped his fist onto the blanket. Austin never got slapped. Eli did, but he drove her to do it. And Jack made sure everyone finished happy. “Be more like the other guys.” “Never.” Indie reached out and stroked his tensed leg. “I chose you because I needed to play.” “Oh yeah?” Her touch unleashed the randy cowboy he’d only made a half-assed effort to contain. “Yeah. I count on you for a good time.” She winked and blew a kiss at him. Good, but he needed more. He wanted to give her more. “And for a long time?” “As long as we have.” Under Her Covers - Death's Relentless Dance: Book 2 coming August 14!

In Her Company is here!2/27/2018 Happy Release Day to me! I’m so proud of this book, not because I published it on my own, but because I did it with a great team to support me. I couldn’t have done this without my awesome beta readers, Heather, Susie, and Lori; my fabulous editor, Lori; my amazing cover designer, Studioenp; and my Pickled friends, especially Marissa, who suggested I write reverse harem (one woman, multiple men). I rejected the idea at first because I thought I couldn’t possibly write all that sex, but I couldn’t let it go. Man flesh variety has always interested me, but oddly enough, the sex isn’t the focus of the story. I couldn’t make the relationship work in a contemporary world, so I added it to the post-apocalyptic setting I’d been brainstorming and ta-da! In Her Company is out today! 99 cents for a limited time only so get it now.
Excerpt - I'd do a lot worse for you2/21/2018 In this excerpt from In Her Company, Indie and her harem are stuck inside the quarantine, fighting for survival. They found a cafe, but the chef refused to serve them.
“We just want breakfast.” Indie stepped forward. “A donut or a muffin. Even a box of cereal to share would be enough.” Cody spotted the door to the pantry standing slightly ajar. As you wish, doc. He slipped inside while the others argued and pleaded. The place had been picked nearly bare, but he managed to find a bag of powdered mini donuts, a muffin wrapped in plastic, and a box of Lucky Charms. He grabbed a bag of ground coffee, knowing genius Eli would find a way to make a percolator. The café had gone quiet, and Cody peeked through the gap in the pantry door. Austin and Indie walked by, followed by Jack and Eli. Cody stepped out and blended in with the camouflage-wearing group like he’d been there all along. Austin stomped down the stairs. “Is it worth the trouble to search the rest of the building?” Eli shook his head. “I only saw one restaurant on the directory.” They spilled out of the stairwell into the lobby, gathering around Indie as had become their custom. “Options,” Austin snapped, the snarl on his face revealing he was fresh out of ideas. Cody pulled the box of cereal from his backpack. “Let’s eat.” He handed the box to Austin then presented the muffin to Indie. “As ordered, doc.” She gasped. “Did you steal this for me?” “I’d do a lot worse for you, Indie.” She smiled and her fingertips brushed his scruffy cheek. He closed his eyes, and his lips found hers, sweet and soft, and oh-so melty good. Just like he’d imagined she’d feel. Her hand slid into his hair, and he slipped an arm around her waist, her warm body curving into his. Lord, how he’d love to sink into this woman. Slow, hot, and simmering. “Ahem.” Jack cleared his throat. “Gonna share that with the rest of us?” Cody pushed back and blinked. Jack eyed the muffin. “Oh.” His face heated. Shit, am I blushing? “I’ve only got one muffin, but I nabbed a whole bag of donuts.” He pulled them out of his pack. “I’m not going to ask how you acquired those, Sergeant.” Austin stuffed a whole donut in his mouth. “Well done.” “And I’m hoping you can work your magic with this.” Cody handed the coffee to Eli. Eli’s eyes lit up. “I need water, heat, and a pot.” “Go,” Austin ordered. Jack and Cody searched nearby empty offices and brought back a coffee maker, a bottle of water, and five mugs. They sat down in the lobby chairs and shared their contraband food and invigorating coffee. “All right.” Austin polished off his coffee and stood. “We’ll go to the hospital and kick this virus’ ass.” “Yeehaw!” Cody raised his mug. Jack scowled at him. “We’re not in Texas.” “Sorry. Felt like a yeehaw moment.” In Her Company - Coming 2/27! Preorder available now. Never say Never1/7/2018 I'm going to have that carved on my tombstone.
A few years ago, I swore I'd never go back to self-publishing. I liked having the support I got from a publisher. But almost as soon as I started writing this book, I knew I'd publish it on my own. It doesn't fit with anything publishers I know of are doing, and damn it, I want some control back. That's what I gave up for the support of a publishing team. The big difference is that I'm not alone this time. When I published Tell Me You Want Me, I did everything on my own. But now I have beta readers, a cover designer, and an awesome editor. I know more about publishing now than I knew then. And I have the valuable support and experience of friends who have been there. This time I different, and I'm excited about the challenge. The one thing I'm not going to do is say I'll never go back to a publisher. ;) Excerpt - We need a bed1/1/2018 A little unedited levity in otherwise dire circumstances:
Austin smiled. “We need a bed.” Shit. That’s not right. “A room.” Not much better. Eli scowled and smacked a door with his fist. “How are we going to get in?” The keycard locks proved resistant to his attempts to pick them. “We need to find a master key.” Jack glanced back toward the stairwell. Austin still hadn’t recovered from their trek. “We’re not going back down to the lobby.” “Maybe housekeeping has one.” Jack strode down the hall to an abandoned cart. “If you had your guns, you could shoot the lock open.” Indie mimicked the action with her fingers. Cody snickered and Austin corrected her. “Weapon, not gun.” “What’s the difference?” “A weapon is for shooting, a gun is for fun.” Cody chanted the manta that had been drilled into each soldier’s head from day one. “A gun is for…?” Comprehension apparently dawned as Indie rolled her eyes and shook her head. “Men and their penises.” In Her Company - Death's Relentless Dance, Book 1.
